My concerns relate to my Labour M.P Andrew Gwynne, who became an M.P last year after spending a few years as an
aid to Andrew Bennett M.P
Besides being a Labour M.P he is also a Tameside Councillor in Greater Manchester and has been so these past several years.
A close collegue of Andrew Gwynne M.P on the Council is Councillor Brenda Warrington who lives in the same road, and is the
Chair of the Denton and Reddish Labour Party,a Labour Party Member since 1975,and a representative in a variety of other
organisations,Amicus MSF section Member,Member Of The National Executive Committee,Member of Employment Tribunal Panels, and both Andrew Gwynne M.P and Councillor and Labour M.P and Councillor Brenda Warrington, must know the requirement for
openness, accountability, and probity,so it was suprising when I checked my M.P`s Register of Interests, and especially the House of Commons Registers "Registers of Interests of Members Secretaries and Research Assistants" where against my MP`s name
it showed a Billie Barnes,(who I have no knowledge of and who suddenly vanished between the Jan 2006 registers and the Feb 2006 registers) and Brenda Warrington, who against her declaration of interests it shows "None".
Unless Brenda Warrington has refused to accept her Councillor salary, and other money relating to her other Council appointed posts, plus refusals of payments for other organisation duties, how strange she has "None" when it comes down to House of Commons interests declarations.
I E.Mailed my MP,explaining what I had found, but that was on February 16th,and to date he has chosen not to reply, therefore
I have passed the matter to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, and I await an outcome.
Because as an ex-labour supporter these past 40 years,I discovered certain irregularities relating to Tameside Council, such as as the Council Leader and Labour Leader for 25 years, had not declared his interests for almost 12 years, which were seen as considerable when I exposed the facts, and other details I persued with the Regional Auditor, yet nothing happened even though
Blair and Ministers were informed,so I am doubting whether this latest issue concerning my M.P and Councillor Brenda Warrington
will also get shoved under the carpet.
Surprisingly enough local press prefer not to print confirmed and documented disclosures, perhaps maybe because of the advertising revenue they receive from Tameside Council, but thats another story.
