FREE ELECTION LAND

(with due thanks to Albert Hammond: “Free Electric Band”)

The PM is a liar, he’s an untruthful man

The Chancellor steals from taxpayers whenever he can

They’re both just greedy socialists who burden us with law

They both destroy our liberties and they lied about the war

Our happiness was done for when we gave our cash to Brown

High council tax and stamp duty just caused us all to frown

Our future in their system looks monotonous and planned

So let’s vote them out on Thursday in our free election land

They’ve left our schools in chaos, filled with rampant feral youth

Illiteracy, innumeracy, not knowing lies from truth

And the teachers face an ever increasing struggle for control

As many an idle kid defies them, destined for the dole

And we used to be so envied for our universities

Now fifty per cent must study, even Mickey Mouse degrees

Let’s teach a telling lesson, far from what New Labour planned –

Let’s vote them out on Thursday in our free election land

They used to sit and speculate on how to win the polls

Bent postal votes and boundaries would amply serve their goals

Just give me ballot paper, put a pencil in my hand

And let’s vote them out on Thursday in our free election land

We gave the Chancellor money and he spent it thick and fast

On public sector non-jobs to enhance the war on class

Yes, and we trusted in his prudence but his mind we didn’t know

Until deep rooted attitudes of Marxism did show

He wanted to be PM even though he never said

But we know him well enough by now to see inside his head

A socialist utopia with our ancient freedoms banned

So let’s vote them out on Thursday in our free election land
